The fiber optic jumper (also known as the fiber optic connector) means that both ends of the optical fiber cable are fitted with connector plugs.
Used to achieve optical active connections; one end is provided with a plug is called pigtail. The optical fiber jumper is similar to the coaxial cable, but there is no network shield. The center is the glass core that is transmitted by light. In the multimode fiber, the diameter of the core is 50 mu m~65 mu m, roughly equivalent to the thickness of human hair. The diameter of the single mode fiber core is 8 u m~10 mu m. The core is surrounded by a glass cover with a lower refractive index than the core, so that the fiber is kept in the core. The outside is a thin layer of plastic cover to protect the cover.
